Bosnia and Herzegovina’s representatives are Europe’s top team at the World Robotics Championship
A 19-member team from the “Mali programer” School of Programming and Robotics in Travnik returned from the world championship in China with outstanding results. At the Enjoy AI World Robotics Championship for children and youth in Shanghai, the representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina secured the title of the highest-ranked European team, competing against over 1,000 teams from around the world and more than 50,000 participants in the robotics category alone, as well as an additional 300 competitors in the drone category.
In the robotics category, Emel Kesten and Danin Harambašić achieved an impressive 10th place worldwide, making them the best-ranked European team in their category. Laura Mišković and Ivan Radoš won the jury’s admiration and received a special award for Best Team Spirit, recognizing their outstanding collaboration and communication throughout all phases of the competition. Excellent results were also achieved by Nordin Jakupović and Ines Dujić (16th place) and Amar Pašalić and Bakir Hadžić (17th place). In the drone category, Amar Grabus secured 13th place among young drone pilots from around the globe.
It’s worth noting that after a year full of remarkable achievements, a total of 19 participants qualified to take part in the Enjoy AI Global Final, representing the largest delegation the school has ever sent to an international event. “Mali programer” has been operating for four years as an innovative programming school for children and youth. Through interactive and fun courses, it teaches students the basics of programming, develops logical thinking, and encourages creativity across different age groups. Today, the school has over 150 active students.
